HORSETRANS started as a single transporter in Bratislava run by a driver with decades of experience moving competition horses across Central Europe. Owners kept asking the same three questions: what's the real price, where exactly is my horse right now, and can I have photos from the road. The rest of the industry was answering "depends", "we'll call you", and "we don't really do that".

We built HORSETRANS as the answer to those three questions, made operational. A transparent per-kilometre rate with a flat pickup fee, no base fee, no priority surcharge. Live GPS tracking streamed to owners from the moment of loading until arrival. Photos from every rest stop, emailed to the owner without being asked. Solo drivers, never consolidated loads — the horse rides alone, goes direct, arrives on schedule.

Today we run new-generation 2025 transporters from our Bratislava hub across 46 European countries — from the Balkans to Scandinavia, from Portugal to Ukraine. The scale grew; the three answers didn't change.

We run new 2025 horse transporters with air-ride suspension, non-slip rubber flooring, side-loading doors and enough interior height for the horse to keep its head comfortable the whole way.

For three to four horses we tow a matched Bockmann trailer — a four-slot configuration with two separate compartments for horses that travel better apart.

HORSETRANS drivers are not generalist freight drivers with a horse-transport sideline. Each one is a full-time equine transport specialist with 20+ years of hands-on horse handling, clean driving records at every major European FEI venue, and all the appropriate licences (B, B96, BE, C1, C1E, C, CE).

Every driver runs solo — we don't pair them on a single load — and every trip is direct, no consolidation. Drivers carry a laminated FEI-approved document pack for competition venues, know the specific access rules at major clinics (Lüsche, Telgte, Hochmoor, Nový Dvor, Ispi), and make the call-ahead to destination before arrival so handovers are calm and quick.

Central Europe is our home range — we reach every major city in Slovakia, Czechia, Austria, Hungary, Poland and Germany within the day. From there we run regular weekly routes to Italy, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Spain, Portugal, UK, Ireland, Scandinavia and the Balkans, with scheduled routes into Ukraine, Serbia, Bosnia, North Macedonia and the rest of the non-Schengen east on request.

For non-Schengen movements we handle the state-vet health certificate, TRACES NT notification, and customs paperwork end-to-end. Owners send us the horse's details at booking; we send back the completed paperwork stack 24 hours before departure.
